1. Get a key
Request access. After approval, create an API key and export it as DHEEX_API_KEY in your shell or secret manager. Keep it out of source code.
2. Make a request
Use https://api.dheex.com/v1 as the base URL. SDK examples require the openai package (pip install openai or npm install openai).
curl --fail-with-body https://api.dheex.com/v1/responses \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $DHEEX_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017",
"input": "Hello, dheeX.",
"store": false
}'Replace deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 with a model enabled for your key:
curl --fail-with-body https://api.dheex.com/v1/models \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $DHEEX_API_KEY"Use store: false. For conversations, send earlier input and output items in the next request. Responses supports HTTP streaming; response retrieval and WebSockets are not published. Tool support depends on your model.
On HTTP 429, wait for the current request to finish before retrying. Keys expire after 30 days; create a replacement before revoking the old key.
